Coreena Dunham went 2-for-3 with a triple for the Bowie State Bulldogs in a 9-1 loss to the Morgan State Bears on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the non-conference doubleheader and season opener for BSU at the Lois T. Murray Field.
Lindsey George (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Bowie State (0-2).
BSU's highest scoring inning was the first, when it pushed one run across.
Bowie State pitchers faced 27 Morgan State hitters in the game, allowing four ground balls and six fly balls while striking out one.
Dunham led the Bulldogs at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple.
Morgan State was led offensively by freshman Chandler Mitchell, who went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI.
