San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been one of the latest sensations in professional football.

After taking over as San Francisco’s starter well into the 2022 season, Purdy won plenty of games for the 49ers and now led the team to Super Bowl 58 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, it wasn’t long ago that Purdy was playing college football for the Iowa State Cyclones.

He spent four years etching a legacy as one of the school’s best-ever quarterbacks.

Purdy threw for 12,170 yards, 81 yards and 33 interceptions in 48 games over four seasons for Iowa State.

He also rushed for 1,177 yards and 19 touchdowns in that span.

During his four years with the Cyclones, Purdy was coached by Matt Campbell.

Purdy and Iowa State earned a major bowl win in January 2021 over Oregon in a 34-17 victory.
